Promoting Other People's Art On DAOne of the great things about DA is that it's not only a place where you can promote your own work - it's also a place where you can promote art you admire by other people. There's a whole bunch of ways that you can do this, so if you'd like to help draw attention to awesome art created by your friends or brilliant things you've found while browsing, read on and find out how you could make someone's day.

Monthly Contest: ArchitectureDear members,
SubversiveAesthetic is a welcoming space for photographers creatively exploring emotive, challenging and non-mainstream concepts, styles, subjects and genres.
Thought-provoking. Stylish. Dark. Bizarre. Creative. Fascinating. Unusual. Memorable. Beautiful. Photography for grown-ups.
The group welcomes photographs that are considered to contain Mature Content as per DA's policies and are tagged as such. This includes artistically presented nudity, fetish themes, dark and challenging concepts, and simulated violence, injuries and gore (although probably not all at once).
projecteducate (lovingly referred to as PE) was launched in 2008 to promote and support artistic and community growth and knowledge throughout DeviantArt.
PE is a joint venture between DA Community Relations and the community. During each themed week and weekend, we bring you a new set of articles with information, resources and features from one of the many galleries on DeviantArt. We also regularly host a Community Week where anyone in the community has a chance to submit an article to share!
We pride ourselves on being a fun and educational group, and we'd love for you to join us on this adventure.

Every month, the lovely Community Volunteers and admin crew at CRPhotography gather the awesomest photography-related news, features, conversations and useful things from around DA to share with you.
If you miss a newsletter, you can catch up here:
Points gathered here will go towards prizes and subs for groups I'm in, thanky donatey miscellaneous goodness and other lovely things for lovely people.
Donations are gratefully received and kindly appreciated but never expected. I tend to buy Points for giving rather than rely on others for them but your support means a lot to me and all the Points I gather here are given back to the DA community. Thank you!
The amount of 1000 points is an arbitrary number pulled out of thin air/the ground/the back of my brain cause there was a box that asked for a number and I never say no to a box asking for something.

The year 2027. Edinburgh, Scotland. Disease has swept a deadly path through society. A nightlife mogul with a violent past, a sadistic drug dealer, an artist craving companionship, a privileged playboy and a fiercely independent motor mechanic struggle to survive in the chaotic and brutal leftover world of the immune.
The book can be read in its entirety here on DeviantArt. Please visit this folder in my gallery to see all the chapters in order.
It can also be downloaded as a free epub, mobi or PDF file to read on any device from my website.
Welcome to June 2018's CRPhotography newsletter, a round-up of photography goodness on DA from the last month. The newsletter is divided into handy sections to help you browse photography news and features from the last month. The links with a Fella icon are official CRPhotography articles and the newsletter is illustrated with beautiful pictures featured as Daily Deviations over the last month.
Community Project: #Daily5
Come one, come all! It's time for a community project.
Something many of us see on DA each day is community members asking for comments. Whether it's simply acknowledgement that they created something or genuinely wanting feedback on their art, true deviation comments can be hard to come by! I mean there is a LOT of artwork submitted here each day. If you don't have a large watcherbase, it can be hard to get attention for yourself and your art. There are a lot of comment-oriented projects on DA and that's awesome. I am hoping to keep the momentum going with this new project.
I would like to challenge all of you to take 5-10 minutes each day (or as many days as you can!) to leave only five (5) comments on others' deviations. Commenting gives attention to others but can also bring some attention right back to YOU! Plus, commenting can be a great learning experience for all involved.
Artisan Craft Week! Artisan Craft Week
It's time for Artisan Crafts to team up with projecteducate again! And it's time to delve into a whole new side of artisan crafts that you may or may not have known before. This is a special week since we have returning favourites and brand-new contributors. We also have interviews and practical tutorials on top of theories and features. Overall, I think this is going to be a great week. And I hope you will agree with me, too!
